Kirk Hammett's Electric Guitar

Kirk Lee Hammett is the lead guitarist and a songwriter in Metallica band and has been a member of the band since 1983. In 2003, Hammett was ranked 11th on Rolling Stone's list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, first ranked was Jimi Hendrix. In 2009, Hammett was ranked number 5 in Joel McIver's book The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists.

Hammett was invited to join Metallica in 1983. At the time Hammett, was taking private guitar lessons from guitarist Joe Satriani.

Most of his guitar is ESP electric guitar. ESP (Electric Sound Products) is Japanese electric guitar brand. Founded by Hisatake Shibuya in 1975 in Tokyo, Japan. Hammet also use some other electric guitar brand like Gibson, Ibanez, Jackson, and Teuffel.
